2nd Half of 2014 Recap

Hi there. Remember me? I haven’t blogged in over 6 months!!!! I have a really good excuse though, I promise. Shortly before my last post, my life changed dramatically in the best way possible!

And here I am, already 32 weeks pregnant! We couldn’t be happier. So many things have changed in the past 7 months and I haven’t had the focus to blog. I wanted to stop by to document these wonderful changes, and I would love to get back into blogging because it is a great way for me to journal my life. However, with a baby on the way, I’ll just have to see what happens. In the meantime, as I am nearing the end of my pregnancy and my current job, I’ll have more time to write and focus on these last 2 months of being pregnant.

With that said, here’s a little recap of what the first 7-8 months have been like. I found out I was pregnant a couple of days before our 1 year anniversary at the beginning of July. We were thrilled, as this pregnancy was very much planned and wanted. A few days later, the morning sickness set in. I was not mentally prepared for morning sickness! It was actually 24/7 sickness, ans felt like a hangover that never went away. I was sick like this from week 6 of pregnancy to about week 16, then the all day nausea went away, and I just got sick in the evenings until about week 19-20. July and August are pretty much a blur. There was a lot of laying on the couch and eating. Little to no exercise. It did not go quite as I planned or imagined.

We finished building our house and moved in, in the middle of September:

I also celebrated my 38th birthday the weekend we moved in.

September was also when we learned we were having a baby girl!!! I had my family over for a cupcake gender reveal:

This guy wasn’t so happy when he first found out, but after explaining to him that I was happy it was a girl because I always wanted him to be my favorite boy, he cheered up:

By the end of October I was starting to feel pretty good and had fun trick or treating with my niece and nephew as a pregnant witch:

In November I hosted my first Thanksgiving. Didn’t get many pictures though:

December 1st we celebrated the twins 5th birthday:

And Matt’s 36th birthday mid December.

By December, I was getting big, but feeling good for the holidays:

We celebrated the ending of a wonderful year and beginning of a new exciting year with an early dinner at Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, and napping on the couch all evening. I finally woke up just to crawl into bed and watch the ball drop with the love of my life. It was perfect!

I’m sure this year will be another great one as we meet our baby girl in March and learn how to be parents. I am so excited!!!!!

In the meantime, I promise to write frequently during these last 2 months of pregnancy so I can treasure this time. Next post will cover my wonderful baby shower that happened last weekend! Stay tuned.
